Lobby Signs
Acrylic lobby signs mount on stand-offs behind the reception desk and hold their presence from across the room. Push-through letters, flat-cut shapes, and layered logos all come out of acrylic sheet, and the thickness of the material changes how the sign reads from a distance. Quarter-inch acrylic disappears visually on a tall reception wall, while half-inch holds weight from twenty feet back. That thickness spec is a design decision we make on purpose instead of letting a catalog default decide for you.
Dimensional Letters
Flat-cut acrylic dimensional letters mount on studs with a small gap between the letter and the wall behind it. That gap lets light fall behind each letter and throws a shadow that moves across the wall through the day. The projection distance from the wall shapes the shadow more than the letter’s own thickness does, which is the detail most specifiers miss when writing up a sign spec for the first time.
Channel Letter Signs
Channel letter signs use acrylic faces bonded to metal returns with trim cap around the edges, and internal LED modules light the face from behind. The face color, the return depth, and the trim cap color all work together to shape how the sign reads day and night. Trim cap either vanishes against the face or frames the letter like a visible border, and that one color choice changes how the whole sign feels on the building.
Menu Boards
Acrylic menu boards use second-surface printing, which places the ink on the back side of a clear panel facing the wall. The print stays protected from fingerprints, cleaning chemicals, and daily wear for the life of the board. Track-mounted or magnetic inserts let you update prices and items without replacing the whole panel, which keeps your menu current through supplier changes and seasonal specials.
Directional
Interior directional signs come out of acrylic for its clean edges, stable surface, and receptive finish for raised tactile characters and Grade 2 Braille. Acrylic holds the raised character edges needed for ADA tactile compliance sharper than many softer substrates. Worn or rounded tactile characters fail inspection even when the sign still looks fine at a glance, which is why substrate choice matters on wayfinding projects that need to pass ADA review.
